Researching F.W. Burton at the National Gallery of Ireland
The Centre for the Study of Irish Art holds three NGI publications (1900, 1980, 1997) that focus on the career of Frederic William Burton. The artist's early career as a painter of miniature portraits is covered in Caffrey (2000), while discussion of his later career can be found in Crookshank & Glin (1994) and Bourke (1987).
The CSIA also holds two archival collections related to F.W. Burton which contain correspondence, newspaper cuttings, notes, receipts, photographs and other ephemera.
