Raymond Keaveney, Director of the National Gallery of Ireland says: “the exhibition has received rapturous praise from the public and the art critics both in Ireland and abroad. We highly recommend that people come to see this show before it ends on 5 December after which it will travel to the Rijksmuseum in Amsterdam and onwards to the NGA in Washington in 2011. This is an exhibition of exceptional quality which has brought the most celebrated paintings by Metsu from museums all over the world, and it is a show not likely to be repeated for some time.”
