Tours for Teachers
Special tours for teachers and educators are scheduled during the academic year. Teachers are given the opportunity to look at the works on display in advance of a class visit, and Gallery educators are on hand to discuss how a visit can be tailored to fit your group’s needs. These tours are also open to student teachers.Though places are free, they must be booked. Contact firstname.lastname@example.org for information.
Art, Education & Schools Seminar
The National Gallery Education Department organises an annual free Art, Education & Schools Seminar in the autumn. With a range of guest speakers discussing current trends and developments in arts education, these seminars are a fantastic opportunity for teachers to meet and discuss issues that are important to them.
A report on the proceedings of the 2014 seminar, Schools and Cultural Engagement: Design, Film, Digital Media (Sept. 2014) will be available online shortly.
