A photograph of a young woman sitting in her bedroom, surrounded by her belongings. On the wall, a number of posters and cuttings hang including a Breakfast at Tiffany's poster; on the bed itself are a few stuffed animals, and various cosmetics line the window sill.

I Never Promised You a Rose Garden, 2024

Photograph

"I Never Promised You a Rose Garden delves into the intricate relationship that young women cultivate with themselves during their adolescence, highlighting the lessons they learn during this inherently traumatic yet creatively charged period of their life. Photographed within the intimate confines of their bedrooms, this space serves as a poignant reflection of the transformative journey undertaken and the evolution of their identities from the individuals they once were." - Arann McCormack
