Please note: In light of the red weather warning in place for the country, the Gallery will be closed on Friday 24 January, reopening as normal on Saturday 25 January. 

Gallery opening hours

Monday: 11am – 5.30pm
Tuesday and Wednesday: 9.15am – 5.30pm 
Thursday: 9.15am – 8.30pm
Friday and Saturday: 9.15am – 5.30pm 
Sunday: 11am – 5.30pm

The Gallery, including temporary exhibitions, begins to close at 4.50pm daily (7.50pm on Thursdays), starting with the upper floors.

Tuesday and Wednesday: 9.15am – 5.15pm 
Thursday: 9.15am – 8pm
Friday and Saturday: 9.15am – 5.15pm

Notes on opening hours

  • The Gallery is closed 24–26 December, inclusive, and Good Friday.
  • Opening hours are subject to change, and entry to the galleries ceases 15 minutes before the Gallery closes. 
  • The Gallery, including temporary exhibitions, begins to close at 4.50pm daily (7.50pm on Thursdays), starting with the upper floors.
  • Admission to the permanent collection is free. Some temporary exhibitions carry a charge. Exhibitions are free for members.
