James Moonan (age 16)
Grandad, 2021
Pencil, acrylic, corrugated card on paper
James says: ‘This is a portrait of my Grandad. I drew him in a quiet moment, looking over his farmyard, with the sheds in the background. I used pencils for his portrait and collage behind him, to illustrate the different textures found on farm buildings. They push out beyond the page to show how important farming is to him.’
