Passages Through Time: Travel, Exploration and Art

Join the Library & Archives team for a free Heritage Week display of material taking you around the world, exploring artists and their travels. Journeys abroad have been a source of inspiration for many artists throughout history, from the Grand Tour to artist colonies in France.

A variety of unique objects from our collection will be on display, including rare Italian travel books and beautifully illustrated accounts of travels throughout Ireland.

Drop in anytime between 2.30pm – 5pm to The Reading Room, Rooms 35 & 36, on Level 3 of the Milltown Wing of the Gallery. The library and archive team will be on hand to show you the collection and answer your questions.
