Inspiration for the Nation | Your art, your Gallery

On 15 June 2017, after six years of meticulous rebuilding, refurbishment and restoration, the historic wings of the National Gallery of Ireland reopened to the public.

Having been stored away for many years, the national art collection is back in its rightful place, on the walls of the people's Gallery. New works hang proudly alongside Ireland's favourite paintings, thousands of stories waiting to be explored. The National Gallery of Ireland and the national art collection. This is your art, your Gallery.
