"64 is a photographic self-portrait comprising six black and white images stacked into a column from head to knees. The work is a self-examination of segments of my body at 64 years old. It explores themes of change through ageing; visibility, selfawareness, acceptance and awakening, at a crossover point between eras - part of the crossing over from one stage of life’s journey to the next as shown in the exaggerated physical appearance of my body." - Philip Thomas Crean

Philip Thomas Crean, a freelance photographer, was born in Dublin and studied at the London College of Printing in the 1980s. He moved to Tenerife in 1994. He has held several solo shows and has exhibited at the Atlántica Colectivas section of Fotonoviembre, Tenerife (2013); VI Certamen de Fotografía Informativa y Documental, Fotonoviembre (2015); and the TenDiez collective (2015 and 2016).
