Located in the city centre, in the heart of Georgian Dublin, the Gallery is easily accessible on foot and by public transport.

Transport options

On foot

The Gallery is less than ten minutes on foot from St Stephen’s Green, Grafton Street and Trinity College.

By DART Commuter Rail

Pearse DART Station is five minutes from the Gallery. 

By LUAS light rail

If travelling via the LUAS Green Line, alight at Dawson Street. The Gallery is a 6 minute walk from here. If travelling via the Red Line, alight at Abbey Street, which is about 20 minutes from the Gallery.

By bus

Dublin Bus provides service to nearby bus stops. Bus routes serving the Gallery include the following: 4, 7, 8 to Merrion Square North & Clare Street; 39a to Merrion Row; 46a to Dawson Street & Nassau Street. If travelling from Heuston Station, take the 145 bus to Nassau Street.

By dublinbikes

Dublinbikes is a public bicycle rental scheme which has operated in the city of Dublin since 2009. There are two Dublinbikes stations beside the Gallery, located at Clare Street and at Merrion Square West. 

By car

There is metered parking on Merrion Square. There are disabled parking spaces located outside the Merrion Square entrance to the Gallery.
