The National Gallery of Ireland is proud of its panel of enthusiastic and dedicated volunteers.
Over the years, staff and visitors to the Gallery have benefitted enormously from the contribution of volunteers. We consider ourselves fortunate to have the support of so many loyal and talented individuals in the programme. Volunteers play an important role in many areas of the Gallery, from front of house welcomes to showing that anyone can be an artist in the Creative Space. Needless to say they ensure that the Gallery is consistently offering an outstanding visitor experience. In return, Gallery volunteers deepen their knowledge of art, develop a variety of skills, meet like-minded art enthusiasts, and more!
The Gallery will be recruiting volunteers to join the programme in 2025 and subsequently seek to establish a volunteer recruitment panel for 2026. The on-line application process is now open at the link below, and will remain open until 5pm on Tuesday 28 January.

- An information session will be held in the Gallery on Saturday 18 January at 11.30am. This session will provide insights into the role of a volunteer, and give you an idea of what the day to day experience involves.
