‘This piece was made to create a sense of tranquillity, by showing the respect and love I have for my mum. The flowers are to represent the dream world sinking into the real world. The purpose of the flowers is to put the viewers’ attention onto her. The teddy that is being cuddled is my childhood teddy, contrasting against my mum and also connecting myself to the piece.’
