"64 is a photographic self-portrait comprising six black and white images stacked into a column from head to knees. The work is a self-examination of segments of my body at 64 years old. It explores themes of change through ageing; visibility, selfawareness, acceptance and awakening, at a crossover point between eras - part of the crossing over from one stage of life’s journey to the next as shown in the exaggerated physical appearance of my body." - Philip Thomas Crean
Philip Thomas Crean, a freelance photographer, was born in Dublin and studied at the London College of Printing in the 1980s. He moved to Tenerife in 1994.
