Dedicated to ensuring that individuals or groups with additional needs are catered for within our general public programme and through bespoke activities and events available both onsite and via outreach projects.
We are committed to ensuring that all learning programmes and courses are accessible to everyone, including those with complex needs. We work with organisations such as Enable Ireland, St John of God Hospital, KARE, Down Syndrome Ireland, and Alzheimer’s Society of Ireland to create adapted events that cater to their service users’ needs. We also collaborate with SEN and resource teachers to ensure we offer accessible opportunities for mixed ability school groups.
For core onsite programming we liaise with organisations such as the National Council for the Blind Ireland (NCBI), Arts and Disability Ireland, Irish Sign Language (ISL) Ireland, and others, to regularly offer bespoke tours and talks for individuals and groups that are hard of hearing, have visual impairment, or are living with dementia or autism.
We offer tailored tours and workshops for people with additional needs. These are designed in collaboration with relevant organisations and facilitated by trained guides and practitioners. They range from tactile sensory tours for individuals and groups with visual impairment, to signed tours with headsets for those who are hard of hearing, to bespoke conversational tours for individuals living with dementia and their partners/carers.
Our bespoke programme includes collaborations with Down Syndrome Ireland and their LatchOn programme, the LauraLynn Hospice, and most recently we have begun working with Blossom Ireland to support their programme for children with a broad range of additional needs.
We welcome and encourage new partnerships and projects.
