Join the Gallery Youth Panel as we transform the Education Studio into a space for celebration and creativity as part of our Youth Festival 2024.

Leading up to OLIVE HATAKE'S DJ set, taking place in the space from 7.10pm, we are going to be leaving our mark on the Studio and getting the space party ready through a variety of different art practices. All materials will be provided and everyone is welcome!

The Gallery Youth Panel is a group of young people who work together to find, make, and share impactful experience for their peers and communities at the Gallery. Membership is on an open, rolling basis, attendance is flexible and all are welcome! We are committed to actively promoting equality of opportunity and working to stop discrimination for all young people. Young people from diverse backgrounds, locations, and communities are encouraged to apply to join the Youth Panel! You do not need any particular skills or experiences to join, just an interest and enthusiasm for shaping programmes for young people.

To note:

  • The Youth Festival programme is a collaboration between the Gallery and young people. It is devised and delivered by the Gallery Youth Panel, SpunOut Action Panel, West Wicklow Youthreach.
  • As part of the Youth Festival, young people ages 16 to 25 receive a 10% discount in the Gallery Shop across the week. Identification, including young adult leap card and/or student card, may be required.
  • We are committed to running accessible, inclusive events and activities and making our programme as welcoming as possible.
  • This activity takes place in the Education Studio at the National Gallery of Ireland located in the Millennium Wing.
  • The Education Studio is wheelchair accessible and members of the Education Team and Youth Panel will be on-hand to assist and support exhibition visitors and programme participants.
