Our Bodies Are Ours
2021
Pencil and acrylic on canvas
As an ally to the LGBTQIA+ community, the artist wanted to capture how humanity is stripped away from said community when they are looked upon by society through objectifying and sexualised lenses. Homophobic and transphobic acts of violence are all too common in Ireland and the responsibility should not be on the LGBTQIA+ community to solve this issue.
