Inner Reflection, 2024

Acrylic on canvas | Unframed: 58 x 45cm

‘My painting Inner Reflection is a self-portrait that merges the serene seascapes of Ireland with India’s rich cultural heritage. The tranquil blues and greens symbolise peace, while the intricate teal and peach mandalas honour my Indian roots, representing life’s continuity and childhood memories. Another significant detail is the depiction of earrings from a local East Cork artist, reflecting my community connection. Although my expression seems focused, I often find myself lost in an imaginary world, where the perfect balance of life’s spices grants me the freedom to choose my own reality.’
