A portrait of a figure floating in water. He is submerged from his neck down, and everything except his head is slightly distorted by the water.

He is not here, 2017

Oil on board, 80 x 60 cm

‘My changing worldview and portrayal of mankind, as a result of my many travels and moving countries, mixed in with personal perspectives and reveries, is where I find my inspiration. Through Baudelaire’s ideas of the detached observer, I explore the significance of wandering and how this influences our perception of the world. This results in artworks that provide a series of encounters, with images offering curious glimpses and musings, moments often overlooked, figments of memories, open questions without answers.’
