Loren says: ‘Exploiting chiaroscuro elements accurately portrayed my father’s personality on a private level. Cast in light, decorated by smile lines, while, contrarily, in black, he appears thoughtful and impenetrable. However, on a public level, he acts as a physical metaphor for the enigmatic future the pandemic has manipulated.’
