Graphite on paper

‘In this self-portrait, I aimed to capture a sense of tranquillity that comes from appreciating life’s simple moments. I chose to incorporate flowers into this piece, drawn to the idea of two life forms coexisting, each complementing the other. The flowers drawn were ones I found during a springtime walk, a season that particularly inspires me. Walking in nature is something I deeply cherish, especially in spring when everything is in bloom, and the world feels alive with colour and growth. Although the use of graphite may seem unconventional for such a vibrant theme, I feel it fits nicely.’
