‘I began documenting inner city Dublin around 2018, finding myself drawn to the youth and elders of the area, who seemed to be the most natural and uninhibited. I turned a corner onto an old row of cottages to see Patrick returning home from the shops. He’s lived on that street with his brother and sister for 80 years. In his suit, shirt and tie, pioneer and cross medals, he defines the old-world dignity and respect of a gentleman from Dublin’s north inner city.’
